Question by Jayne A: Warm or cold compress for swelling with wisdom tooth extraction?
I've heard it both methods so several times. Some say "cold for swelling, warm for pain." Some say "cold for 24/48 hours, then warm." My dentist told me to ice it for 24 hours and then use a warm compress in the days following, but I have to admit I'm skeptical and I certainly don't want it to get any worse! I already feel like my face could explode any moment. Assistance and reason? Thanks.
Really, it isn't
