Every time I eat cake, at times my tooth/teeth begins hurting. Is it a chemical, or do I have a cavity?

I believe the minor pain is coming from my molars, not confident.
I also forgot this has been happening all my life, and it is not a cavity. I went to the dentist two days ago and I had no cavities, and I just ate the cake about ten minutes ago.
