Question by Lady: Is it normal for my tooth to hurt after having a cavity filled?
I had a cavity filled about 5 hours ago. It was my first cavity. My tooth really hurts where they filled it. It stings and feels like it is throbing. Is this normal? How long does it take to go away?

Answer by the_only_soloroseyes it is normal, the deeper the filling, the more the tooth will hurt later, take some tylenol, put ice on the affected cheek, the throbbing will pass in a day or two
